- How sensitive your teeth are - Teeth whitening can cause sensitivity in some patients and depending on your situation, we’ll recommend either in chair or take home options, which vary in concentration.
- Results -The whiter the smile, the stronger the whitening solution needs to be. Generally speaking, take home kits are made with a lower concentration than in chair solutions.
- Tooth enamel -The density of enamel is an important consideration with teeth whitening because without enough, teeth whitening can be very uncomfortable.
- Your time -Some patients prefer to spend time in chair with the whitening process carried out by one of our clinicians. Others are happy to do whitening at home. We’ll talk to you about what will work best depending on your commitments, the likelihood of you completing treatment independently, and what kind of results you want.
