The team at Dapto Family Dental is led by Dr Nitin Dhanani and associate dentist Dr William Kalo. Sharing a passion for living in Wollongong and providing affordable dental care using modern dental techniques and technology, both Dr Dhanani and Dr Kalo are proud to be shaping the health of people in the region.

Meet our team

Dr Nitin Dhanani

On making Wollongong his home, Dr. Nitin has carved a place for himself in the hearts of loyal patients from Dapto Cosmetic and Family Dental Practice (currently Clearly Dental) where he worked for over seven years. Having since established Figtree Family Dental, and now Dapto Family Dental, he is capitalising on his 20 years experience and realising his dream. Nitin loves spending time with his family, boxing and keeping fit.
Created the most advanced dental clinic in Wollongong and give his patient community an access to the most comprehensive range of services using the latest dental techniques and technologies.
I’m passionate about dentistry and have a genuine desire to serve the local community of Wollongong that has been so good to me.

Dr William Kalo

Dr William Kalo is an experienced and accomplished dentist who has joined the team at Figtree Family Dental. William has been practicing dentistry for 8 years, since graduating from James Cook University in Queensland. After spending a few years at Figtree Family Dental, he has moved to our brand new practice in Dapto. His interest in Dentistry is attributed to his Grandfather, who was one of the first local dentists in Papua New Guinea.
Since joining the team, Dr Kalo is determined to advance his skills and knowledge by utilising the wealth of experience and technology available under Dr Dhanani. William is a friendly and compassionate dentist with good chair side manner and a gentle touch. He is also committed to improving patient care and comfort. William loves spending time with his family, exercising and keeping fit.
It has been such a great experience working with Nitin and the team at Dapto Family Dental and I look forward to serving our patient community in Dapto.

Virginia Salas - Oral Hygienist

Virginia has been in the dental industry for over 20 years and has practiced in both Sydney and the Illawarra. Virginia began her career as a dental assistant before Graduating from Newcastle University with a Bachelor in Oral Health in 2010. It’s her vast experience and passion for oral health that make Virginia a valued and respected member of our team.

As a dental professional, Virginia instils a sense of purpose and control in her patients about maintaining their oral health. She tailors preventative treatment to each individual, making use of her gentle touch and eye for detail. Her focus is on maintaining the health of your gums, bone and structures that support your teeth. This approach reduces the likelihood that you’ll need more expensive and extensive treatment in the future.
Being part of Dapto Family Dental has been such a rewarding experience and I love sharing that with my patients.
